The Ethnographic Museum houses a large collection of objects from southern Romagna, a territory caught between the Apennines and the Adriatic and rich in tradition. The objects and tools displayed both inside and outside of the museum building exemplify the history and even the soul of this region, and they help us understand the everyday life and the environment of Romagna.

The museum is organised thanks to the ‘cumuli’, stacks of objects that function as monuments to collective memory, and digressions, objects that symbolise connections or discontinuities between the past and the present.

The history, the culture, the traditions of a people – in all of its different, and even unknown aspects – can be admired in the museum.
